Display: Shakespeare’s Legacy
April 23, 2016 marks the 400th anniversary of William Shakespeare’s death. There will be celebrations around the world that will highlight his life and works.
William Shakespeare, son of John Shakespeare and Mary Arden, was born in Stratford upon Avon, England in 1564. He went on to become a world famous playwright, actor, and poet. He is considered by many to be the world’s greatest writer. His works are still performed in many countries and languages, his texts are taught and studied in colleges, and museums around the world showcase his works. He is truly a worldwide phenomenon.
The Prescott Campus Library will be celebrating this milestone April 18-25, 2016. We will have an InfoPortal area display, a special presentation on our InfoPortal and a new Shakespeare display in our display case.
