The Runner’s World Cookbook
Book Review
The Runner’s World Cookbook
Being an avid runner, the way I eat has a tremendous influence on how I run. The Runner’s World Cookbook suggests the perfect combination of performance-boosting nutrients to maximize performance with easy, delicious, and quick recipes. This cookbook contains 150 recipes with many great photos that will tantalize your taste buds. Detailed nutritional information on each recipe with tabs at the top of each recipe that indicates whether the recipe is “prerun” or “recovery,” as well as which are vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, etc.
The first section of the book focuses on nutritional information and staple ingredients every runner should know, and the second part of the cookbook illustrates how to turn these facts into delicious, quick, and nutrient-boosting meals through delectable recipes. The recipes are divided by categories (Salads/ Soups/Stews, Sandwiches/Wraps/Burgers, Pizza/Pasta, etc.), these recipes are presented by types of dishes a runner can look to for satisfying performance needs in appetizing ways. I have tried several recipes and they are easy to follow, taste great and not at all intimidating to any home cook.
Bon appétit!
