Book Review: The Power of Creativity

“To be creative is to embark on a long journey.” Although this book is aimed at writers and artists, it is useful for anyone who is feeling stuck in their creative life (however you define that!). The author designed a three part process to jump start and maintain creative energy. The first part emphasizes discipline and habit change as the foundation of creative work, while part two offers approaches to idea generation. Part three returns to the topic of discipline and focuses on overcoming obstacles such as procrastination. This is a quick and useful read to light a fire under your creative impulses.
