In the News this Week: Water

In elementary school we were taught to conserve water. For example, don’t leave the faucet running while brushing your teeth; don’t take long showers; and don’t water your yard in the middle of the day. It might be time to heed those instructions, because NASA claims water tables are depleting all over the world. At the rate we use water, the underground aquifers are not able to keep up. The water is being consumed faster than it can be restored. Check out our resources on drought, and maybe you’ll be the scientist who remedies our ever-increasing water problem.
