February Displays
PLAN A SPECIAL TRIP TO THE YC PRESCOTT CAMPUS LIBRARY TO SEE THE FEBRUARY EXHIBITS
To the left of the front entrance you will see a new oil canvas from Instructor Dana Cohn entitled “Ego with Universe”. Dana teaches classes in Oil/Acrylic painting here on the Prescott campus, and you will see his students’ work a little later in the semester on the stacks near the front entrance.
We have an exhibit of Disney pins on loan to us by Elizabeth Bucio, a former student and library staff member in the standing case to the left of the front entrance. It is an astonishing collection – that includes some pins she would like to trade with other collectors and some limited edition specials.
The standing case near the reading patio has a display of Middle Eastern musical instruments that have been loaned to us by Ustadza Ely, who is our Technical Services and Technology Manager. Ustadza also has a copy of the DVD that she has recently completed entitled “Dynamic Zilling” – use of zils with belly dancing.
On the low stacks across from the circulation desk there is a stunning sculpture piece in clay and wire by Carl Dahl who is an instructor this semester in Sculpture I, II and Advanced Projects.
More to come as the student work begins to come in!
