COME SEE THE PRESCOTT CAMPUS LIBRARY’S PRESENTATION OF
STUDENT & INSTRUCTOR ART WORK

Contos Necklace Fall 2015The Prescott Campus library has an OUTSTANDING showing of student (and instructor) art work currently on our stacks. Most of the works will be up for the month of November. Included in the presentation are PAINTINGS from the classes of instructors Dana Cohn and Ken Ottinger, DRAWINGS from instructor Jim Ward’s classes, and wire and ceramic SCULPTURES from Cindy DeCecco’s classes.

Blue (Cactus) Cohn StudentFor the instructor display, we have DANA COHN’S intriguing large oil entitled “Golden Section on an easel near the front entrance. KEN OTTINGER has his masterful work which illustrates what his classes are all about on a stack across from the circulation counter. CHRIS CONTOS has some of his beautiful jewelry in two cases on a stack across from circulation, along with two of his large metal and stone sculptures.

We have a new instructor who will be teaching sculpture classes (Art 180, 181 and 281) in the Spring, 2016 semester. His name is CARL DAHL, and he has brought a wonderful, small ceramic, wire and wood sculpture of a horse head to share with us.

Denniston's bowl Fall 2015The standing case near the front entrance to the library has an exhibit by Jeff Martin, a talented YC student who specializes in hand-made tools and weapons. His work is extraordinary and you won’t want to miss the display. It will be up through the end of the semester.

Blue CatThe standing case near the outdoor reading patio and 3 table-top cases nearby are filled with exciting woodworking pieces skillfully formed out of some exotic woods by master-woodworker, Bill Denniston. These are pieces you won’t want to miss – and will make you want to take a woodworking course at YC yourself! This will also be up through the end of the semester.
